Atlas Roofing Corporation recognized for Best Video, Best Digital Animation and Best Community Initiative
ATLANTA — January 3, 2019 — Atlas® Roofing Corporation, an innovative, customer-oriented manufacturer of residential and commercial building materials, was recently recognized by the Construction Marketing Association (CMA) annual STAR™ Awards for marketing excellence in the construction industry.
The team won a Superstar Award for the Best Video and two Star designations for the Best in Digital Animation and Best Community Affairs Initiative. These awards recognize the high-quality work produced by the Atlas Roof & Wall Insulation division to highlight the Atlas Gemini™ family of products for low slope roofing and the EnergyShield® Wall Builder Tool. The company’s partnership with Veterans Community Project (VCP), was also recognized in its support to eliminate veteran homelessness.
“The awards validate the incredible work of Atlas teams across the board,” said Steve Heaton, Vice President, Atlas Roofing Corporation. “Whenever we undertake projects like these, our goal is always to make things easier for the customer. Whether it’s by simplifying the wall design process for architects, making tapered specialty products easier to understand for contractors, or by providing products that will ensure the longevity of a not-for-profit program, if we’ve made someone’s job easier, we have succeeded.”
The Atlas product video, which won a Superstar award, was developed to demonstrate the effectiveness and use of three of Atlas Gemini’s products: the Drain Set™, Pre-Cut Miter™ and Tapered Edge Strip™. In the video, the team simulated how the innovative products are installed to help architects and contractors minimize installation errors, reduce jobsite waste and increase speed and installation.
Winning a Star award, the EnergyShield Wall Builder Tool animation was designed for architects and contractors seeking guidance on designing with polysio wall insulation. The online tool allows any user to virtually construct a wall layer by layer. As each layer is chosen, the user can see the wall rendering as it is assembled, providing building design freedom for users.
Additionally, Atlas received a Star Award in the Publicity and Community Affairs category for its involvement in the Veterans Community Project. Atlas donated materials from multiple divisions, including the RWI team, to construct cost-efficient and sustainable tiny homes for homeless veterans.
The CMA STAR awards recognize excellence in 16 marketing categories and 80 sub-categories including advertising, branding, website design, social media, brochures, catalogs, new product launches, packaging, photography, promotions, publicity, merchandising, trade shows, videos, employee communications, and integrated marketing campaigns, and many other categories.
